Transference by Dan & Igor Kiselev

  • Prism Arts Philadelphia 1021 Hamilton Street Philadelphia, PA, 19123 (map)

Welcome to “TRANSFERENCE” a captivating exhibition that celebrates the remarkable artistic journey shared by father and son, Igor and Dan Kiselev. This collection of paintings tell a story of family, legacy, and shared passion.

In Dan’s own words

“I owe my love of painting to my father. I still remember how he would drag me to galleries as a 5-year-old, sometimes very much against my wishes. And I remember how I felt the intensity and relevance of an abstract painting for the first time and how I was so excited and proud to tell him all about it.

I'm certain that I am not unique in saying that my relationship with my father as an adult has been very complex, fraught and contentious. It has taken no small amount of work on both our parts to get to a place where he was able to ask me to do a joint art exhibition. I agreed, and I could tell this made him very happy.

He died 3 days later, unexpectedly.

Our joint exhibition is opening September 22nd.

I wish he was able to be there for it, but for me, hearing him say yes and knowing how much he was looking forward to it, is enough”.

The Exhibition will be open to public from Friday, September 22nd 6pm - 10pm, Saturday September 23rd 1pm - 8pm, Sunday, September 24th 4pm - 8pm
